You know lots of single words and still can't put a sentence together.
Usually it's because you study each word alone, with its translation, and never see it working inside a sentence.
You know “need” means “necesitar,” but you can't ask for a glass of water.
You do fine in the exercises, but when someone talks to you, your mind goes blank.
You're on a 100-day streak and still can't introduce yourself.
In Vocaru, you use every word you learn in the same session.

It happened to me first.
I studied vocabulary on my own for months, word by word. I recognized hundreds of translations, but when I tried to read or speak, those words never showed up.
I had the words. I'd just never used them in a sentence.
So I built the app I wish I'd had: you learn 20 words, find them in a reading, see how they're used, and practice them, all in the same session.

The "Zero to A1" path has 42 lessons in six chapters: foundations and identity, day and time, people and food, shopping and places, work and travel, and communication. In total you work with 760 words.
The first 3 lessons are free. The full course is unlocked with a one-time in-app purchase, with no monthly fees or automatic renewal. The App Store shows the price for your country before you pay.
No. In the free version a new lesson opens each day; with the full course you move ahead without waiting. Your progress is saved, and you can pick the time of a daily reminder.
No, and we won't promise that. Fluency takes more levels, exposure and practice. The goal of the path is to get you out of zero: to start understanding and using basic expressions on a real A1 foundation.
The path covers the vocabulary and situations of the A1 level. The result depends on your practice and isn't an official CEFR certification.
It tracks the words and phrases you struggle with most and brings them back into your readings and reviews over the next days. Mistakes don't count against you: they tell Vocaru what to reinforce.
Yes. After certain lessons a short grammar video opens: the verb to be, do and does, present simple and continuous, at, in and on, will and going to, and the past. You can download them to watch offline.
On the Vocaru channel we explain movie scenes and songs line by line, for free. On the blog, every video has its explanation in Spanish and a free flashcard deck to review the expressions.
You can start as a guest. To keep your progress if you change phones, link the account to Apple or Google, or sign in with your email.
In the app, go to Perfil and then Eliminar cuenta (the app's menus are in Spanish). Your user and all your progress are deleted. The privacy policy at vocaru.app/en/privacy explains what data we use and why.
For now Vocaru is iPhone only, to get the audio and practice experience right. Android will come later. If you'd like us to let you know, email hola@vocaru.app.
