What Vocaru is
Vocaru is an English course from zero for Spanish speakers: 42 lessons with vocabulary, readings with audio, explanations in Spanish and exercises. It's a practice tool. It isn't an official level certification and doesn't guarantee a specific result: what you learn depends on your practice.
Your account
- You must be at least 13, or the minimum age your country's law requires to use the service without a parent's or guardian's permission.
- You're responsible for activity on your account. If you use a guest account and delete the app or switch phones without linking it to Apple or Google, you may lose your progress.
- You can delete your account at any time from Perfil > Eliminar cuenta.
Purchases and refunds
- The first lessons are free. The full course is unlocked with a one-time in-app purchase: it isn't a subscription and doesn't renew.
- The price is what the App Store shows in your country before you pay, including any applicable taxes.
- Apple processes the purchase, which is also governed by the App Store terms. Apple decides refunds: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- If you change iPhones, use "Restore purchases" with the same Apple ID. Deleting your account doesn't cancel or refund the purchase.
License
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use the app and its content to learn, as long as you follow these terms. The lessons, readings, audio, videos, illustrations, the mascot and the Vocaru brand belong to us or our licensors.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- copy, resell or redistribute the course content;
- try to access other people's accounts, our servers or the app's code without permission;
- use bots or automate the app, or overload the service;
- send the app (for example, in text to translate) content that is illegal or infringes others' rights.
If you break these rules we may suspend or close your account.
AI-generated content
Some readings, explanations, translations and coach replies are generated with AI models. We review them carefully, but they can contain mistakes. Use them to practice, not as professional, legal or medical advice.
What you write or say
What you write, say or share with the app stays yours. You allow us to process it only to provide the service, as the privacy policy explains.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Vocaru running, but there may be interruptions or bugs. We may improve, change or remove features. If we stop offering the course you bought, we'll give you reasonable notice.
Liability
The app is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for Vocaru in the previous 12 months. Nothing here limits the rights your country's consumer protection law gives you.
Changes to these terms
If we change something important, we'll say so in the app or on this site before it takes effect. If you keep using Vocaru afterwards, you accept the new terms.
